Belt Holster Without Thumb Break
The DeSantis Speed Scabbard is exactly what it says: a scabbard with no thumb break designed with speed of draw in mind.
This holster is the same high quality as the dual angle model I have and is reviewed here. I think this looks like a really great holster also and if I wanted something for a faster, smoother draw I would probably get one of these.
This Governor holster is for right hand draw; I believe they make a left hand model but I do not find it for sale on Amazon.

* First off a couple of things that aren’t a deal breaker for me, but a potential buyer should know. The holster you’ll be getting isn’t exactly as pictured [What’s new, that’s why I uploaded some pictures of my own for the holster I bought – lol].
* Two belt slots not three, and no adjustment screw. Now let me get to the meat of this product. Unless you are willing to pay almost double for a custom holster [emphasis mine] this one will suit your needs. The Governor is an odd shaped handgun to say the least but this DeSantis fits it well with good retention. Reholstering quickly is going to be an issue due to some strange flaps at the top [Always SOMETHING it seems, fortunately no deal breaker here either]. It’s almost like they wanted to put a snap retainer on and backed out at the last minute. Just do a double check or do some home surgery on it and you should be fine.
* For such a hulking revolver this holster allows me to carry my Governor concealed [Yes!], with the proper clothing and belt. It really does a nice job of keeping it high and tight and the weight is pretty much a non issue. Granted I’m a revolver kind of guy and prefer a piece of metal rather than a polymer framed gun. In all likelihood I will be buying a custom rig for this particular firearm down the road, but for now this holster seems to fit my needs. [Yes, and a lot of us never quite get around to that custom rig, often due to the price]
At the time of this writing, all the reviews are 4 and 5 stars; this is a great holster for your Governor.

I bought the holster several years back for my governor. I have nevee been able to get a clean pull. I actually have to yank on my wheel gun. It was suppose to be cross draw in addition to rt hand. Forget that. It wont let me draw at all from cross. I’ve tried every trick I know.
